Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Lipstick - Matte Powder Coat

I have always been a lipstick over lipgloss kind of girl, and am currently loving the matte look that this gorgeous lipstick provides.
Soap and Glory are a luxurious brand that provides amazing skincare, bath and body products that are a favorite in my household – especially the Sugar Crush Body Wash and Body Buttercream. They also provide a selection of makeup products that are beauty addict worthy. I am a big fan of their Thick and Fast Super Volume Mascara and when on a search for the perfect pink lip product, I came across this ultra-long wear lipstick in Blush Pink.
 IMG_7113
Matte lipsticks look amazing on, but they can cause dehydration of the lips. However, this lipstick is extremely moisturising because it is said to contain orchid extracts to tone, soften and plump the lip.
This shade is the perfect pink because it was very wearable, even on pale skin. I have found it to be a perfect match for a sexy flick of eyeliner to wear out on date night or a girly night out. At £9 the product is in the mid price range, however it completely worth the price. I have been using this product constantly over the past weeks and the creamy formula did not fade for up to 5-6 hours, even after eating and drinking.
The packaging, like all other Soap and Glory Products, is dramatic and lovely. The black casing is sturdy and gives an expensive feel to the product.

There are only three shades available but I am defiantly going to try the other two shades; Supernude and Pom Pom and I highly recommend you go check them out too!
I hope you like this little review on the perfect matte pink lipstick and I would love to hear what you think and if there are any other Soap and Glory products I should try!

Hair Inspiration

After a long time of having my hair highlighted, I decided I wanted a change! For a while I have looked into stripping my hair and going back to my natural gingery hair and ombre it, when I came across the new trend of hair melting! This is where one or two colours is blended through your hair and melted through your hair, by a combination of highlights and block colours.
IMG_6379IMG_6376

I asked my long term hair dresser to have a look and see what colours she could come up with.

We both agreed that a three coloured melt would be best as my roots would be able to blend through and it to become more manageable and help cause less damage to my hair because I would’t be dyeing my hair so often.
The three colours we chose were a light mousey brown, a coppery blonde and a very light bleach blonde to go into the roots, where I have a full fringe, I wanted to have my the melted colours framing my face and my fringe to remain one solid colour to slim my face.

I LOVE the final result and how tonal and dimensional my hair is now! My hairdresser used products without ammonia and had a conditioning treatment carried out on my hair meaning my hair is still silky smooth!
I hope you like this update on my hair and I would love to hear what you think of the new trend of hair melting! Love it or Hate it?? Also if you have had the melt done to your hair, I would love to see!!
Lots of Love,

Benefit Radiant Skincare! ☀️

When I received this as a gift from a close friend, I was excited but nervous. My fair skin is prone to allergic reactions; especially my face, and I often steer clear of most deep facial cleansers as they can cause rashes all over my skin. However, my first impressions of this selection of mini products was exceptionally positive!
IMG_7131
I love Benefit products and am often browsing through their website at products that I wish to treat myself to, when I get paid. I’m sure every beauty blogger has heard of Benefit, but for those who haven’t, Benefit is an affordable brand of makeup that pride themselves with products that create instant glamour and flawless beauty solutions.
This Limited Edition B.Right! Radiant Skincare set is a 6 piece intro kit to the collection; which includes a ‘Foamingly clean facial wash’, ‘Refined finish facial polish’, ‘Moisture prep toning lotion’, ‘Total moisture facial cream’ and the ‘It’s potent! eye cream.’ These products are used to make your skin refreshed and radiant, whilst gently taking off your makeup!
IMG_7135
The first product in the set is the ‘Foamingly clean facial wash’ Normally priced at £17.70. Benefit says that ‘it is a 1 step facial wash to cleanse and clean the skin’ as all you have to do is apply a small amount when washing your face and rinse throughly. I found the product to be soft on the skin and perfect for removing any makeup before bed. I was surprised that this facial wash did not cause any problems with my skin and actually helped with my break outs!
IMG_7140
The product I followed the facial wash with was the ‘Moisture prep toning lotion.’ This product helps to smooth your skin and improves the effects of your moisturiser. The ingredients of this product are filled with vitamin E and natural, botanical extracts to help clarify your skin. To apply the product, I found it best to use it over both the face and neck straight after the facial wash and found the results to be amazing! It didn’t cause any redness to my skin and perfect for sensitive skin! It is normally £23.50, slightly more than your normal but defiantly worth the splurge.
IMG_7139
After the toning lotion, I used ‘Triple performing facial emulsion SPF 15′, I found this to be very lightweight and hydrating. This emulsion is used to enhance the beauty of your moisturiser along with helping battle oily skin, which luckily I do not suffer from but I still felt that it was a great underlay for my BB cream on days where I don’t want to wear heavy make up. The only problem was that it was hard to get out of the bottle! At £22.50 it is a good product for prepping your skin.
IMG_7136
I used the ‘Total moisture facial cream’ forth, which contains mango butter and other natural ingredients to make your skin glow. I applied this all over my face and neck; it provided me with smooth and subtle skin, you couldn’t tell it was always dry all the time!   It defiantly is a fierce competition for my No 7 Beautiful Skin Day Cream for Dry/Very Dry Skin, as it boosts my skin and also contains SPF 15! It is double the price of my No 7 brand at £29.50 compared to £13.50 of the no 7, but is still a lovely moisturiser that everyone should check out!
IMG_7146
Along with the ‘Total moisture facial cream’ is the ‘It’s potent! eye cream’ which I found to be perfect for those dry patches I get underneath my eyes, making my eyes brighter. It does this by using botanical extracts to restore elasticity and firmness. This eye cream didn’t irritate my eyes and I loved using it on days where I have long hours at uni to hide my tired eyes! It is £25.50 and defiantly something I would buy again!
IMG_7143
The final product in this set was the ‘Refined finish facial polish’ which is like a cleansing face mask that you use once or twice a week to purify and enhance the skin. Using clay and rich seaweed minerals it minimises pores and boosts radiance. When I used this I thought it was a lovely formula and helped to clear those stubborn spots that always come at the wrong moments. I also thought it helped my dry skin become more clear and with a spot of moisturiser my skin felt perfect! At £18.50, it is defiantly on my shopping list!
IMG_7141
Overall, this set is a lovely way for you to try each of the products and get you started on the benefit range. It helps you decide which products are best for you, to change up your make up routine. I thought that these would be great for travelling and if you’re going on holiday. Even though the small samples didn’t last very long they have certainly made me want to buy the full sized ones!
I hope you like this little review on the Benefit skincare and I would love to hear what you think of the products and if there are any other benefit products I should try!

Urban Decay 'On the Run' Travel Palette

When I got given this gorgeous palette for my birthday I was over the moon! Urban Decay have always been a brand I have wanted to try but was yet to do so. So when I received this gorgeous palette for my birthday I was over the moon and excited to try out the eyeshadows that everyone raves about.
IMG_7073IMG_7078
All you need is a foundation base and the ‘On the Run’ palette to perfect a makeup look in any location and on the go. This is because it includes 6 eyeshadows that range from matte, satin to metallic; Dive, my favourite in the palette, a lovely metallic rose gold, Fix a matte taupe, Resist a metallic taupe, Dare a matte medium brown, Stun a gorgeous metallic bronze and 50/50 satin champagne colour which is perfect for highlighting and on the brow bone. It is clear to see why everyone raves about these eyeshadows as they a made of a smooth formula, that easily blend in together.
I love using Fix all over the lid and use Dive to smoke out the look; it is perfect for a night out teamed with a flick of eyeliner. For a day look, just team Fix and Dare together to create a more natural look. These eyeshadows don't fade and are a definite must to any makeup collection.
IMG_7080
Other stunning products in the palette include a matte bronzer, perfect for the paler skin because it has no orangey undertones. A shimmery bright pink blush is also included, which at first glance is scary but blends into a cute flush on the cheekbones. There is also a travel size Perversion mascara in Blackest Black which was easy to apply and lengthened my tiny lashes with a cute curl. A travel size 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in Stag and a full size moisturising Naked Lip Gloss in Sesso. All of which are an essential part of a makeup look and amazing value for money.
IMG_7081
The packaging of the Naked On The Run palette is a sturdy rose gold plastic, with a tortoise shell pattern. At first I thought it to be quite chunky however the magnetic lid shuts firmly and comfortably fits in my make up bag. With a huge mirror inside, it is great for for applying your makeup on the go (which I commonly do on the train back and forth to Southampton!) It is a gorgeous looking palette and great for people that wish to purchase Urban Decay makeup but cannot decide on what to get. At £37.00, I believe you get alot of products that are of high quality, for your money, all of which I would be willing to use again!
IMG_7075
In the photo below, I used Benefit Big Easy foundation in 01 Fair and used both Fix and Dive on my lid, a cute flick of Stag and ample use of mascara on my eyes. 50/50, the bronzer and the blush are along my cheekbones and a gloss of Sesso on my lips. As you can see overall the look is very natural and can easily be builded to create a more glamorous look.
IMG_7090
I would love to hear your thoughts on the palette and see any looks you have created with the stunning eyeshadows! If you haven't tried it yet check out Urban Decay's website here!

With a pop of colour

Adding a pop of colour to an outfit is always great; from a quicky pair of heels and a plain dress or a cute jacket to spice up a night out.
This river island bright orange tweed like jacket is perfect for this role. I love the cropped shape and even though its a costly £50 I think it is a must item to add to anyone’s collection.
The vibrant colour is on trend and perfect with a pair of jeans, a white tee and flats and livened up with a pair of heels for a cheeky drink with the girls. The material is a cross between cotton and polyester and coming from River Island you can tell it will be a long lived item in your wardrobe.
I just love the way it looks on and its retro shoulder pad feel creates a great contoured look.
Here is a couple of pictures showcasing the jacket and get yours at River Island Cropped Jacket, as it comes in a cute pale pink and a vibrant orange.

Love to hear what you think on this gorgeous jacket and speak soon xxx

Cath Kidston Haul

With its classic floral deigns and cute vintage motifs, it is clear to say that Cath Kidston is my favourite brand and a certain obsession of mine. The mention of a sale sent my bank balance into decline.

After picking up and choosing the many items I have lusted over the past year but could not afford, I set upon looking at some home pieces that they do as I am about to move into my 3rd year University house and need some sweet items to add to my growing baking and kitchen ware collection.

Thought I would just give you a peek at some of my items that I picked up and adore currently...

Firstly is the "Brighten Up Postcards Frame Bag", this bag I have wanted for a long time and at £32 down from £55 I thought I would treat myself. This large printed bag is made out of a shiny PVC material that is perfect to keep clean and pretty. I am in love with the design and think the postcards create a very retro look that can be matched with any outfit. The bag is closes in a cute clasp in a bronze finish and compliments the overall vintage look and its beige strap makes this bag a cute day to day bag that I plan to use alot! One downside to the bag would be that I wouldn't recommend using it for heavy items as the clasp could break; however for essentials it is perfect and the inside's contrasting pink dotted pattern is lovely, I just wish it came in other patterns!

Cath Kidston "Brighton Up Postcards Bag" - £35 (Was £55)

The next items I brought were part of Cath Kidston's Kitchenware section and will be items that I will regularly use in my new house. Firstly, is the "Big Spot Oven Gauntlet or Glove", this glove consists of a large polka dot pattern is a lovely blue and white contrast. I think this glove is perfect for the quick cake bake or yummy home cooked dinner as it is long enough to reach the elbow and prevent any burns that may occur (especially if you're as clumsy as I am!) Made of cotton and Polyester it is easily cleaned and I believe is a useful item in the kitchen at only £8.

Cath Kidston "Big Spot Oven Gauntlet" £8

To match the oven gloves, I couldn't resist the "Big Spot Bowls" to match! These are perfect for anything from picnics to day use. This is because they are both plastic and Washing Machine friendly and come in a set of 6 in a range of colours from yellow to pink and at £12 I couldn't resist!!

The only item that I purchased that was not in the sale was the "Safari Stanley Mug" this was because even though it was £6.50, I felt that it was worth the price as it is large enough for that perfect cup of tea! The mug is made out of fine china and being both dishwasher and microwave safe, the cute giraffe motif was hard to not buy. As part of Cath's new Safari pattern it is very pretty and for all giraffe lovers, like me it is a nice item to have.

Cath Kidston "Safari Stanley Mug" £6.50

The next item that I brought was one that I have lusted over for ages, the "Aubrey Rose Folded Zip Wallet",  with it's classic Cath Kidston design and its quirky leather features; you can see why it is currently the brands best selling purse. With 12 slots it is perfect for the large number of cards I have collected over the years and for any added bits.
The purse as a whole is made up of a PVC coated cotton and therefore is easily kept clean and contrasts well with its leather features. I would defiantly recommend this purse to anyone that is in need of a compact yet secure purse, that is full of added pieces.

Cath Kidston "Aubrey Rose Folded Zip Wallet" £28 (£14)

Cath Kidston has a wide range of clothing and when I saw these shorts I couldn't help but try them on. The Grove Rose shorts are perfect for a summer day out, paired with a white tee, denim jacket and sandals or dressed up for a night out with heels and a Cami top. Made out of a cotton like material and being comfortable, I couldn't help but buy them. The blue background against the red floral pattern compliments each other and the size fits to your figure in the right places. For £22, they are worth every penny!!

Cath Kidston "Grove Rose Shorts" £22 (Was £35)

Would love to hear what you think of Cath Kidston?

As you can see I kept my outfit looking every simple (mainly because I had to choose and throw on the outfit in a short amount of time!) With plain denim jeans, black shoes and a cute bird tee, I was ready and off to Colchester Zoo in Essex.

Here's a couple of pictures of the friends I made!!

Where I was able to meet and feed the animals, including the giraffes! Even though there was a lot of walking, it was an amazing day out that I defiantly would recommend it to families, groups and couples that enjoy seeing all sorts of animals from penguins, lions and even the odd llama!

Overall, it was a brilliant day out and even got a cheeky selfie with a penguin that seemed to love the camera!

Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend and I would love to hear where is your favourite place to go out?
